Texas Skateland, located at 205 Cox Drive, is open Friday through Sunday and has been family owned and operated since 1981. The roller rink promises an array of family-oriented activities, to themed skate nights, birthday parties, and an arcade. According to Texas Skateland’s official website, “Texas Skateland is a fantastic place to visit with friends and family for a fun-filled skating experience. You can enjoy a smoke-free family environment, and we offer a variety of skate sessions to choose from, including Sunday Christian skate night.” The skateland provides a spacious venue for celebrations, or a casual night out. For activities and events taking place throughout the week, the Harker Heights library is your destination. March 1 will hold the “Friends and Family Learning Space Grand Opening”, where families can join in on the unveiling of the new learning space, which focuses on the developmental needs of children in the library. The event will take place at 10 a.m. The following Saturday, March 4, is Dr. Seuss’s Wacky World at the library, beginning at 2 p.m.; the whole family is invited to celebrate the artistic wackiness of Dr. Seuss, and kids can read their favorite stories during open-mic time, participate in crafts and face painting, and more. Then, on Saturday, March 11, the library will be holding a spring break kick-off party at 2 p.m. Families can visit the library and celebrate the beginning of spring break, where children will enjoy video and board games, crafts, and refreshments.

Kids aged seven through 12 are invited to attend the library’s science club on Wednesdays at 4:30 p.m. There is also a paper crafts club, a building blocks club, and even a Pokémon an Yu-Gi-Oh! Club to attend as well. A full schedule of the library’s spring break events will be posted on the official website, along with several other upcoming events in April and May.
