“Harker Heights is kicking off National Park and Recreation month with a FREE ‘Fun Day in the Park’ on Saturday, July 1st from 10 am – 12 pm at Carl Levin Park, located at 400 Miller’s Crossing.
This July, we invite you to “Get Your Play On” at your local parks and rec by visiting and exploring all of the parks in Harker Heights. Join us at the FREE Fun Day in the Park for inflatables, games, DJ, and vendors. “Parks and Recreation build healthy communities, provides opportunities for fun and learning, and brings individuals of all ages and backgrounds together. This year Fun Day will be an event that encourages families to visit and play in all of the local parks. Carl Levin offers a playground, walking trails, an amphitheater and catch and release fishing. Neighborhood parks such as Goode/Connell, have picnic units, soccer fields, and open play areas. Each of the 10 parks in Harker Heights has something different to offer. The benefits are truly endless.” states Dorian Evans, Activities Specialist.
