Jason Boland & The Stragglers – whose hit song, “Tulsa Time,” topped The Texas Music Chart earlier this month – will be the concert headliner at the second Stars & Stripes Festival on Memorial Day weekend May 29 and 31 at Carl Levin Park.
The concert on Saturday, May 29 will begin at 6 p.m. with the opening band, Josh Michael & The Hawkes, followed by Boland and his band until 10 p.m.
Saturday’s festivities start with the MDA Memorial Day 5K Run at Carl Levin Park, 400 Miller’s Crossing, beginning at 6 a.m. with on-site registration followed by the run at 7. The concert at 6 that evening wraps up the day’s scheduled events.
Festivities resume Monday, May 31 at 8 a.m. with the Memorial Day parade traversing from the Harker Heights High School parking lot to City Hall, 305 Miller’s Crossing.
