Three Harker Heights High School track and field athletes were the recipents of honors bestowed upon them by the Texas Girls Coaches Association for their efforts in the sport. Monique McMichael was named to the TGCA Class 5A All-Star Team. If you use ethanol-based fuel for boats, chainsaws, lawn mowers, snow mobiles, motorcycles, generators and other small engine equipment, then this article may contain data you have not been exposed to. Ethanol groups have asked that the EPA raise the percentage of ethanol in conventional fuel from 10% to maxim (E10) to 15% (E15). The regular season has come to an end and the playoff roster has been set for teams competed in the Harker Heights Parks and Recreation leagues. In the Competitive Machine Pitch Division, the Silverhawks won the city title with a record of 7-2. They and the Hooks, who finished second with a mark of 5-4, will advance to the Texas Teenage Baseball Association District 7 Tournament, which will begin July 13 in Moody.  Read more...
