The Harker Heights Knights rolled over the Shoemaker Grey Wolves 13-4 Tuesday at Hallmark Lanes. Michael Dixon-Dates and Anthony Lovell averaged 218 and 202 respectively to lead the Knights to a 5-2 lead after match play. Heights then took 3 of 4 team games for the win. The Knights remain 1 game behind district leading Ellison at 4-1. TyQuan Abson led the scoring for Shoemaker, who saw their district record fall to 2-3.
The Lady Knights shut out the Lady Grey Wolves 17-0 to remain unbeaten in district play (5-0). Peyton Heidtbrink and Erika Shaffer led Heights in scoring while Jhes Arce topped Shoemaker, who fell to 2-3 is district.
With a 5 team district, each team will bowl against a BYE each week in order for individuals to earn enough games to advance to regional and state competition. Killeen bowled against the BYE this week. Leading scorers were not available at press time.
Next matches are Tue, Jan. 24 – Ellison vs. Harker Heights at the Killeen Bowlerama and Tue, Jan. 31 – Killeen vs. Harker Heights at Killeen Bowlerama both games are set to start at 4:30 p.m.
