Early morning burglary at Union Grove Middle School

On Friday, May 19, 2017 at approximately 1:09am, Harker Heights police were dispatched to Union Grove Middle School after being informed by off-site security that individuals were observed outside the school and then later forced entry.

Patrol officers arrived and established a perimeter and located a vehicle occupied by two adult males near the school. Two additional individuals were later observed inside the school.  Officers entered the school and were able to detain one suspect inside the school and the second was apprehended exiting the school by perimeter officers and were identified as juveniles.

Killeen Police Department assisted with their K-9 units to search the building for additional suspects, no additional subjects were located.  Further investigation by Detectives has determined a link between this burglary and other recent school burglaries in the Killeen area.  Investigations continue at this time to determine appropriate criminal charges and suspects will be identified upon issuance of formal charges.
