This dinosaur exhibit will be the first of its kind at the AS YMCA Wellness Center, which has been open for business for nearly a year. Over 150,000 people have seen this exhibit over the last five years. Harker Heights will be one of the 15 current and future event locations, with other locations in Lufkin and Grapevine.

The exhibit—known fully as the Dinosaur George Museum Exhibit—is the largest traveling exhibit of its kind in North America. Over 150 individuals showcase items from around the world, including huge skulls and bones from prehistoric creatures that once roamed the planet. Based out of San Antonio, this museum is designed to be set up in almost any facility and bring dinosaurs to communities where local citizens may not have had an opportunity to see these impressive specimens. It is said that the Wellness Center will be transformed into a “natural history museum” over the weekend.

The largest t-rex skull on Earth is currently being advertised as well, along with creations from land, sea and air, a large collection of sabor-toothed skulls, stations of animals from almost every time period and continent, and plenty more.

“Dinosaur George” Blasing himself is a high-energy speaker and is one of the most sought-after performers in the country. He’s performed live in front of over 3 million people, and his television series on the History Channel has been viewed by millions as well. Blasing has spent over 16 years teaching elementary, intermediate and middle school students about the dinosaurs that ruled our planet over millions of years ago. He has made hundreds of appearances in children’s hospitals, Boys and Girls Clubs, YMCA’s and scouting events.

The Dinosaur George Museum Exhibit is brought to the Harker Heights area thanks to the Chamber of Commerce. To purchase tickets for the Dinosaur George Museum Exhibit in advance, visit www.hhchamber.com
