“The City of Harker Heights along with the Harker Heights Chamber of Commerce and Market Heights Shopping Center extend an invitation for the public to attend the 13th Annual Frost Fest on Friday, December 9, 2016 from 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm within the Market Heights Shopping Center (201 East Central Texas Expressway) parking lot. Come join your friends and neighbors to help kick off your Christmas holiday season. Enjoy free hot chocolate and cookies, music, SANTA and more. Make sure to bring your cameras to take pictures with SANTA! “We welcome citizens to come out to celebrate the holiday this year”, said Nichole Broemer, Recreation & Events Coordinator.
Frost Fest is held within Market Heights Shopping Center providing shopping opportunities and partnerships with local businesses within Market Heights. While attending Frost Fest shop for those unique holiday gifts at the Holiday Farmers Market. Vendors will offer handmade crafts, holiday decor, pies, food trucks and local honey. All the products offered at the Harker Heights Holiday Farmers Market are locally grown and hand crafted. Cash is the preferred form of payment.
In addition to Frost Fest and Holiday Farmers Market is the Gingerbread House Contest. The public will view and vote for their favorite entry at Frost Fest. All entries must be made of 100% edible materials (except for the baseboard). An entry form is required for the contest and must be turned in no later than Friday, December 2. Participants who wish to enter the contest are responsible to deliver their entry to the event on Friday, December 9 between the hours of 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm. The Harker Heights Fire Department will have a drop-off area during Frost Fest in which the public can bring new unwrapped toys for their Santa Pal program.
