Knights Blank Killeen

The Harker Heights Knights overpowered the Killeen Kangaroos Tuesday at Killeen Bowlerama by sweeping all match play and team games for a 17-0 victory.  Anthony Lovell averaged 235 and Mark Styles averaged 219 to lead the Knights (2-0) while Hunter Wood topped the scoring for Killeen, who fell to 0-2.

The Lady Knights also took a 17-0 victory over the short handed Lady Roos.  Erika Shaffer and Ashanti Fernandes averaged 217 and 211 respectively to lead Heights.

Grey Wolves Roll Over Cove

The Shoemaker Grey Wolves improved to 2-0 in district play with a solid 13-4 victory over the Copperas Cove Bulldawgs Tuesday at Hallmark Lanes.  Ty’Quan Abson and Peter Palomo led the Grey Wolves while Gavin Stutz averaged 204 to lead Cove.  Cove took at 5-2 lead after match play then took 3 of 4 team games for the win.  The Bulldawgs fell to 1-1 in district play.

December 11

Eagles Sweep Shoemaker

In a tightly contested match at Hallmark Lanes, the Ellison Eagles pulled away late to take a hard fought 12-5 victory over the Shoemaker Grey Wolves Tuesday.  The Eagles took a commanding 6-1 lead after match play behind Raiden Neely and Michael Gredler who averaged 219 and 216 respectively.  The team games were all close, but Ellison prevailed in 3 of the 4 for the victory.  Ellison now sits at 2-1 in district play while Shoemaker (2-1) lost for the first time this season.

The Lady Eagles took the measure of the Lady Grey Wolves 15-2 behind Katherine Shotwell and Caitlin Schirripa.  Ellison took a 5-2 lead after match play then swept the team games.  Both teams now stand at 2-1 is district play.  Nicole Christopher led Shoemaker is scoring.

December 12

Killeen Tops Cove

The Killeen Kangaroos won their first match of the season with a 14-3 victory over the Copperas Cove Bulldawgs Tuesday at Hallmark Lanes.  Hunter Wood averaged 209 to lead the Roos to a narrow 4-3 lead after match play, but proceeded to win all the team games for the win.  Gavin Stutz led Cove in scoring.  Both teams now stand at 1-2 in district play.
