Bell County Commissioners met on Monday morning and approved an Order Restricting Outdoor Burning in unincorporated areas of the county. The burn ban will be in effect from 10:00 a.m. on July 20 til 10:00 a.m. on August 15.
The consideration of professional services with Eleven Thirteen Architects was approved for the remedial construction on the precast concrete parapet walls at the Central Jail’s roofline. Compensation for this project shall be eight percent of the total cost or remedial construction.
The commissioners approved a resolution authorizing county grant for Hill Country Community Action Association, Inc. (HCCA) of $8,670.00 to provide Home-Delivered Meals to Homebound Persons in Bell
County who are elderly and/or have a disability. This grant is to supplement and extend existing services for HCCA to be eligible to receive Texas Department of Agriculture Home-Delivered Meal Grant Program funds.
The commissioners passed the motion to approve an Agreement for Lease of Space between Salado Independent School District and Bell County, of “leased premises” at the Salado Civic Center “building”.
Extraco’s proposal for the award of Property and Casualty Insurance was authorized and was determined the best overall.
Also approved was the considerations for the final plat approval of “Ashcraft Acres” located in the City of Temple’s ETJ.
