Lone Star Gun Shows is coming to the Bell County area the first weekend in April to promote and sell numerous types of merchandise, from guns and knives to hunting gear and reloading supplies. The gun show will take place April first and second at the Bell County Expo Center in the Assembly Hall, located at 301 W Loop 121 in Belton. Doors will open Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Children under 12 enter free, accompanied by a parent or guardian, with adult tickets costing $7. There will be plenty of free parking to accommodate visitors; according to www.lonestargunshows.com, law enforcement officers in uniform will also be admitted free of charge.
The founder of the largely successful business, James Sneed, is said to be a true Texas businessman. Based out of Mesquite and the surrounding Dallas/Ft. Worth area, Sneed has been serving his community like family for the last 20 years. With his expertise and booming success, Sneed sought out to create a business that combined his love for hunting, shooting, and the outdoors. In 2001, he opened his own shop in Mesquite called The Gun Zone, a full service gun store. Now, he’s seeking a bigger venue to bring his passion to the public—by promoting the Lone Star Gun Show with events in Ft. Worth, Tyler and Belton areas.
At the upcoming show, visitors can bring in old guns and trade them in for something better, or simply browse the large selection of products. Various types of new and used merchandise are currently being advertised—guns, knives, swords, hunting gear, books, coins, medals, ammo, reloading equipment and other supplies. According to their official website, museum quality memorabilia may also be present at the event. Lone Star Gun shows promises an enjoyable, safe environment with the benefit of receiving discount prices, too.
