Harker Heights Evening Star
The city has partnered with KISD’s H.A.R.P program, to host a coat drive to ensure that homeless students in Harker Heights will not go without this winter. Every year over 1,000 KISD students are designated as homeless. Having a new warm coat gives children confidence so they can excel in school. Nearly 200 coats were collected last year for the Coat Drive, nearly double of what was collected the first year. This year we are hoping to collect 300 coats.
Donate a new or gently used coat of any size (child small to adult 2x) to one of the following locations City Hall, 305 Miller’s Crossing, Recreation Center, 307 Miller’s Crossing, Library/Activities Center, 400 Indian Trail to assist homeless families in Harker Heights.
For more information on how you can donate call Heather Buller at 254-953-5493”
