Last Thursday more than 20 people showed up to welcome a new business as the Harker Heights Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for Advance Pain Care in Killeen. During the celebration a tour was given of the facility, a chance to meet the staff and a barbeque dinner complete with all the sides and ice cold tea and beer.
“We are excited not just for their opening, but for advancement.” said Gina Pence, president, Harker Heights Chamber of Commerce. “They (Advance Pain Care) already have their plans and goals. They will be able to stay in this area and expand and supply us with new jobs as they grow.”
Wendy Garner, marketing director, Advance Pain Care, said. “We can’t wait to be a partner in this community! We are glad to be in a new community where we can provide services that are beneficial. Our staff is excited about expanding our locations and services. We are hiring! And we are ready and waiting with top of the line staff and providers.”
At Advanced Pain Care, they treat most types of pain, both chronic and acute, including: back pain, neck pain, migraines and headaches, degenerative joint disease and more. Also treated is complex chronic pain conditions, including: post-surgery pain, spinal stenosis, and complex regional pain. They accept most insurance plans including TriCare.
“We want to see what has worked for you and what hasn’t. We don’t just want to dope you up and send you out the door.” said Ruben Bocanegra, Advance Pain Care, staff. “We are based out of Round Rock, and our location here is very important, with a lot of retirees with past service related injuries. With Fort Hood they work hard and play hard and we are here for quality and continuity of care.”
As of now the clinic is only open on Thursday’s from 9 a.m. until noon, until they acquire more patients and staff.
“We are searching for staff and medical positions locally and they are finding great candidates so far.” said Bocanegra.
Applications for employment can be picked up at the clinic during operating hours.
“We have a huge and growing medical community, this is welcomed and especially in an area with a niche.” said Barry Hinshaw, ambassador, Harker heights Chamber of Commerce. “(It’s) great that they are here, on behalf of the chamber.”
